Who should attend?

The workshop is an international forum for mechatronics, in particular aimed at professors, researchers, teachers and engineers responsible for and/or involved in education of MSc students, Bachelors of Engineering, Bachelors with a profile in Mechatronics, and/or professional engineers who work in teams within research and development of mechatronic products and mecharonic system engineering and/or training of teams.

Objectives:

  • Bridge between research and development and education of engineers in mechatronic system engineering and design.
  • Didactic, learning and teaching methods and courses in mechatronics and curriculum for engineering profiles in mechatronics.
  • R&D projects in mechatronics.
  • Laboratory facilities for mechatronics.
  • Further development of an European project proposal for EU MSc students and Bachelor of Engineering Mechatronics Program.
  • Exchange of MSc students, PhD students, and teachers/researchers.
  • Ideas for the coming International Workshops on Education in Mechatronics 2003, 2004, etc.


Venue:

The workshop will take place with keynote lectures and sessions at the Technical University of Denmark, Kgs. Lyngby located 11 km north of Copenhagen.

Deadlines for submitted papers:

  • Extended abstracts before August, 20th, 2002.
  • Acceptance of submitted abstracts before August, 26th, 2002.
  • Final version of presented papers for proceedings before September,16th, 2002.
  • To save costs, the printed papers must be in black and white!

Workshop fee:

The fee includes get-together, lunches, workshop dinner at the Restaurant Fortunen, materials, proceedings, etc.

Fee for participants after September, 10th, 2002: DKK 3,500 (ca. 475 €)
